Occupational Therapy - (OT) process to help individuals relearn activities of daily living, generally administered by a licensed therapist. Occupational therapy areas are often set up like a home, with kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.

Ordain - to make (someone) a member of the clergy.

Order - to issue a command or instruction to.

Organs - a part in animals and plants that is adapted to perform a particular function, for example the heart or lungs.

Organic - of, relating to, or derived from living organisms.

Organism - anything resembling a living creature in structure, behavior, or complexity.

Orifice - is an opening in the body of an animal.

Orthopedic - pertaining to the correction of abnormal form or relationship of bone structures.

Osteoarthritis - (also degenerative joint disease) is a form of arthritis as a result of trauma to the joint, infection of the joint, or age.

Osteopenia - is a decrease in bone mineral density (BMD) that can be an early indication of osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis - is a disease of bone that leads to an increased risk of breakage due to a decrease in bone mineral density (BMD) .

Outpatient Therapy - after illness or injury, some people choose to return home rather than stay or move into a facility. Some long-term care facilities provide outpatient therapy, which means that the patient is able to return home at the end of the therapy session.

Ovary - a reproductive organ in women and female animals in which eggs (ova) are produced.

Over-Bedding - is a circumstance where a facility has more patients than beds. Sometimes refers to a lack of staff to properly take care of patients.

Overactive - more active than normal.

Overproduction - to produce in excess of need or demand.

Ovulation - the release of an egg cell (ovum) from the ovary in female animals

Oxygen - (O2) a colorless, odorless, gaseous element essential to life processes.
